The dreaded social media
A very brief list of socials and websites to help you follow the race:
- TNT Cycling: Follow this Instagram for video clips of the race and also the round table broadcast crew as well as the occasional rider interview.
- RTBF Sport: Cycling, amongst other sports, including rider interview clips and round table clips –– mostly in French.
- Cycling Weekly: Posts a result for every stage on Instagram as well as a recap article on their website.
- Couchview.cc: They’ll post a stylized video on Insta for every stage. They also have a TikTok, but our brains are only melting due to cycling so we can’t speak to that platform.
- Domestique__: On Instagram, they post news and results. Their website is pretty new but does general coverage including stage recaps, news and race previews.
- Veloncc: they’ll post the result of each day’s stage on Instagram with a short summary of the important action in the caption. Sometimes they’ll post highlight videos as well.
- How the Race Was Won: Short Instagram videos focusing on a specific moment or move in a given stage. Sometimes overblown, but sometimes extremely informative.
- Le Tour’s official Instagram: race photos, stage results, daily updates to the overall standings and jersey standings, rider selfies, announcements of rider birthdays, stage profiles – this account has it all.
- Ashley Gruber, Jered Gruber: If you want to look at gloriously beautiful race photo dumps every few days, hit the Grubers up. One or both of them is on the moto taking photos of most stages, and their captions will give you a little insight into what following the Tour around France can be like.
- Rouleur magazine and socials: if you have come to realize that cycling is the sport for you, Rouleur puts out a beautiful print edition every six weeks or so. If you ride a bike yourself, it’s got some nerdy stuff you will probably love. If you don’t, stick around anyway for the in depth articles and interviews as well as daily stage recaps for big races. Subscribe to them. We are not sponsored.
- Cycling News: You will go to this website eventually and, while it has great information oftentimes, it will be the worst UX of your entire life.
